I'm basically full on atheist now, but I do think some of Jesus teachings have some good ideas. The parable of the neighborly samaritan is one of them. It's a pretty simple lesson. Don't be prejudiced, be excellent to each other. That's what it means to be a neighbor. Honestly, if everyone did this, the world would be a better place.
The whole thing with most of Jesus teachings is that they were simple, yet effective. This is one of them. Any idiot can get the point. Why the hell does WT have to over explain this shit and try to qualify a bunch of stuff.

when i was young my folks made me wear one and i opened it up and took the paper out making it look like it fell out.
after my folks ask what happen i said i dont know.
ever noticed how co's and ex-do's never say thank you for the hard earned money they get from the friends?
they truly believe they are entitled to live an easy life at the expense of others.
this makes my blood boil!
I had a CO in the early 90's who was a pretty decent guy. He was pretty laid back and never 'lorded' it over people. Never asked for reimbursements from the congregations. If we stopped for a break he would insist on paying. I don't recall him ever being an asshole.
The guy after him? AHAHAH totally the opposite. He forced his will on people. His wife was a cunt. She would cancel appointments with publishers because she had to do things like get her hair done. She would literally say, "I'm the CO's wife, so I can do this." Fuck her and fuck him. I hope they're both dead.
so i was just reading a thread and came across a completely new jw 'rule', that of not being allowed to go fishing!..
at least it's new to me as i always enjoyed fishing as did others in my old congregation.
anyone else heard of this or had this imposed on them in they're jw lives?.
